Awesome start for our juniors and junior county programme

Share

Staffordshire Squash has made a fantastic start to our junior programme having run a very successful county closed at Burton Manor Sports Association. In addition, we have run a number of county academy sessions at different venues lead by our Egyptian Head Coach Fathi. Sessions have taken place at Burton Manor, Tettenhall College and David Lloyd, Solihull with more the follow. These sessions aim to give our juniors all the skills and knowledge to help them excel in their own squash game. Fathi has a unique vision for our junior programme. His planning and expertise in leading and running the sessions has been integral to the juniors enjoying the sessions and learning a great deal from them too.

Have a look at our junior academy pathway information flyer on the Documents page of our website. Juniors who take part also receive an academy t-shirt with their initials on. The academy application form can also be found on the Documents page. For our next academy events, refer to our Calendar page.

Our first county closed was a momentous occasion. Well done to all our juniors who took part and a big thank you to all the parents that took them to the venue and entered them, I know it wasn’t an easy process. A massive thank you to Burton Manor for letting us host the event and a huge thanks to our sponsors Potteries Powder Coating and Titan Rackets for donating the prizes and doing a tremendous job on the t-shirts. Hats off to our county coaches, without you, none of this would have happened 🙂
